I haven't been posting my lately but Vino asked me to post this 1908 D Barber quarter. It's in very nice shape except for the black substance on the obverse.

Went up to Va. to attend the FBS Boot Camp. I've been using my CTX for almost 2 years now but at the boot camp I found out that while I've been fortunate to find some good stuff there is a lot more to this machine.

On the way up we stopped and did some door knocking. On our fifth try we met a nice lady and she said "Y'all just hunt anywhere you want." We hunted about two and a half hours and this quarter and one 1950's wheat were the only coins to come up. It was a rally iffy signal but occasionally I'd see a 46 and the depth was reading 7" so I figured if it was a quarter it should be a good one and since there weren't many signals I went for it. The yard was iron infested - so maybe other targets were masked or maybe it had been hunted in the past - either way I'm Happy!
