Baseball Medallion /Pendant

Just wondering if anyone can help with the date of this this Baseball Medallion? I've searched the net and can't find it anywhere. It looks like it might have had something attached to the back of it. No numbers or letters anywhere that I can see. Thanks RJ

My hunch it's a pot metal Cracker Jack Charm that could also be used as a tie-tack with the stud busted off.
