Basilosaurus Tooth?

Yes I do. If you think it's a Basilosaurus tooth fine. It could very well be. You asked for opinions & I gave you one. If you don't agree that's what opinions are all about. I'm not changing mine.
yes yes .. I’m fine with mine .. but just compare Mammoth and fish .. well damn xs .. I think it’s better to remain silent)))). I'm sorry))))... but in general I don't know what kind of tooth it is. I thought a very big tooth of sharks. I threw it off to a friend of mine, who studied at the university with a specialization in ancient fish))). that's why I really hope that he is right))) this is his opinion about the Basilosaurus.

I believe your mystery tooth is a fragment of a cow shark tooth. I see the whale teeth, and assumed this tooth was an associated find, therefore a marine creature, which narrowed the possibilities.
At first I thought so too))) but the specialists corrected me))) the photo below is different types of your shark cows) well, in general, hexoganal sharks) due to the geometric shape of its swell)))

Your tooth looks similar but not too much like those pics.

sorry, I translated this phrase later .. what kind of whales do you see? ancient?))))))))))))))))))))))))
This is the type of ancient whale I was referring to. Approximately 30 million years old. It is considered a toothed baleen whale, a transitional species. Coronodon havensteini, found in S.C. Looking at this, your mystery tooth resembles the back teeth. Maybe not a cow shark tooth.
