Basilosaurus Tooth?

Hi all. I didn’t want to create another thread, but I see that there are few comments .. Maybe they don’t look at the far pages anymore? .. BUT here is such a find for us, very important .. I would like to know your opinion, and I decided to create a new thread. We think it's a Basilosaurus Tooth... I understand that this is a very rare find, and I would like to know as much as possible about it.
Was found in the Poltava region, Ukraine.

Yes a tooth for sure. But I do not have my dinosaur dental license so am not sure which beast it is from. If I ventured a guess I believe it may be a Basilosaurus.

That's an awesome tooth! I was also searching on the internet to find some websites that deal with fossils and found the best which deal with megalodon teeth. I hope to snag one like yours! Looking forward to receiving the parcel that I placed yesterday.

Triple crowned tooth looks elephantidae. 2nd tooth looks to be from a large cat. Lion, panther, etc. I don't think either are dinosaur.

hello, maybe, but I have several teeth of mammoths and horses and so on... and I talked with those who understand ancient fish... Like everyone says that that tooth is a fish.. more like a basilosaurus or a predatory dolphin...At first, I generally thought that this was the tooth of a giant hexagonal shark ... But then they corrected me))). It is very interesting to see such a tooth, but what would it be an Elephant))))... and I agree with the set of a fang .. many people think that this is a bear, maybe a cat ... But we will find it in the same place where the Basilosaurus is possible. so it became possible to group them.

Your tooth looks similar but not too much like those pics. Your tooth is very wide and looks mammal. Just my 2 cents worth.

Yes I do. If you think it's a Basilosaurus tooth fine. It could very well be. You asked for opinions & I gave you one. If you don't agree that's what opinions are all about. I'm not changing mine.

I believe your mystery tooth is a fragment of a cow shark tooth. I see the whale teeth, and assumed this tooth was an associated find, therefore a marine creature, which narrowed the possibilities.
