beach find before the snow

Found this hunting Scusset beach on cape cod .I knew the weather was going to get bad so i hit the beach .the stone was loose and fell out when i was cleaning .I presume it is jade but not sure .the inside of ring does have a hallmark but not sure if its a set of scales or a ship.Pretty sure its a set of scales .any help in i.d.and possible value would be helpful The stone seems to have green specks in it .

Too bad about the loose stone. I'm sure it can be reset if the ring turns out to be valuble.

if you can take a picture in natural light ( outside) I can most likely id it for you...I make jewelry and use genuine gemstones as well, been making jewelry for over 30 yrs..

The stone appears to be aventurine a type of green quartz. Nice find!

PBK should be able to tell you about the markings. Hes a pretty sharp guy when it comes to those sort of things.
