looks like a 45/357 ??or big bullet. Flat tip copper with the casing Pressed around. Should I try n clean,remove. I cant imagine if it is a bullet the powder/primer still be viable. To risky ??

Yes, a copper jacketed rifle bullet embedded into something. You can tell the caliber by measuring its diameter.

i was able to break off the back end carefully.. seems the back end was deteriorated probably what cause it to all collect the and build up. Maybe old powder still in there

There’s no powder inside of a slug. The powder all burned when the bullet was fired.

That’s true. After removing most th encrustation. The slug seems to still be in the casing. The casing is broken off the back end. I’m i not seeing this correctly. Seems there is riffling on it. Maybe a misfire . Idk. This is why im here. Lol

Yes that round was fired(rifling marks). What you're looking at is the copper jacket of the actual projectile. The lead that used to fill the center may have fallen out or is still be stuck in the crust you pulled it from.

Agreed with the answers. This is not a shell casing that held powder and primer, it is the jacket of the bullet that has been fired and deformed when it hit something. It looked long compared to its diameter in the first photos when it was embedded in the encrustation. That suggested a rifle bullet to me. But it looks different (thicker, shorter) in the second set of photos, so it could be an automatic pistol bullet.
