Beach Mode in Bark Chips

Ground too dry in local parks and I've detected the bark chip areas too many times, but I tried something different today - Beach Mode and Auto +3. Found a quarter and 2 dimes, and a souvenir token that is made by extruding a penny into a 1" long oblong. It says Portland City of Roses on the front. On the back, the Lincoln Memorial is barely discernible. The souvenir token was about 6" down and its oblong shape produced a funny signal. I forgot to check the meter before recovering it.
