Got some time Wed eve. and tonight to poke around a small area that showed up at the beach. Did pretty well with a good variety of coins. 3Mercs/one seated 1877 dime/one hard to read barber dime/2 Buff/2 v nickles/1SLQ/sweet silver ring (all buffed). then the curious find of a ring that never made it past the mold stage. I actually posted it in the help forum to understand why it had the "arm" attached to it and as always everyone was very helpful informing me that was called a sprue and would have been removed and the edge finished. I think the ring might be pewter? Kind of a crude design.
thanks for looking and HH.
