Congrats on the seated dime and other nice finds

Nice hunt gary :icon_thumright:

Nice finds! That's a nice early seated. Sounds and looks like a great site to hunt and nice and close to home. I've got a similar site close by that I have hunted for about 4 yrs now, and I'm still turning up keepers here and there. HH

That early seated dime is terrific catch, congrats. I like seeing a find like this, one where you have a pretty good idea of when the coin was originally lost. Since the cabin site was not on the 1864 map, one might presume the coin was less than 27 years old (1864-1837) when it was lost. If that's the case, your dime got a lot of use (and wear) in a short amount of time!

Nice to recover that old seated, even though it is in poor shape. I wonder what I would look like if I was in the ground that long?

That's a Great hunt!! The seated alone would have made my day but, I love old Crotal bells so that would have made it an Awesome hunt in my book.
