I usually wouldn't post up this hunt but the LC is pretty nice. I got out briefly yesterday to a spot that I wanted to check out. Nice early cabin with a good long occupation. Prob the cabin was there in the mid 1700s and a bigger home was built there and occupied until the later 1800s. The pewter shoe buckle piece and the dog nosed pewter spoon handle as well are good signs. I used the cold hp on this LC and it worked great. This is the nicest soil I've prob ever dug in. I'm hoping there's a nice state copper or a Lib cap or similar there. I'll find out in the spring

Nice, much gooder than the one i found 3 or 4 years ago

The condition of your coins disgust me!!

Wow that came out nice!! Never tried HP cold. Can't wait to see what else comes from that site. Congrats!

maybe that's why bears go to Maine to :censored: in the woods______________ they don't need Charmin there. NICE LARGE !!

That LC is simply stunning! :treasurechest::notworthy:

Ah yes! It's really encouraging to see a LC come out that nice! Last time I got one that nice was almost half a century ago! I was beginning to think we might be up against a time limit to still get nice coppers from the soil.

Nice job!

Beautiful copper congrats on it and the other finds

Awesome coin, congrats!!! What's the brass with the holes punched through?

I love the LC Ahab. Hoping that you do pull a state copper from that site.

Very impressive buddy. That cold peroxide sure does release the crust on those coppers. Looking forward to your return trip.

Beautiful large cent! Beautiful coin!

They don't get any better than that Abe, congrats on the great looking copper and best of luck retrieving a State Copper.

Nice one man! That's a pretty sharp LC and some great relics. Definitely better than most of my toasty ones. Thanks for posting them!

What are you doing posting that nearly mid-1800s stuff up here?? Just rubbing your coastal ME miracle soil in our noses?

Rats. Even my best coppers are so porous they make Tommy Lee Jones look like a Clearasil model.

Always good to see your work, Abe : )
