Beautiful brass thingy - what is it?

[deepseeker3]

Yes, it does look like a drain plug for a small boat, but does not function like one. This area has lots of metal working cast-offs in it.

Any help would be appreciated.

That's an interesting item, for sure. Gonna have to think on that one.

Looks like a reign guide or a rope guide. Wagon or implement tack.

Those threads sure look like they go into a metal fitting. Hanging fixture?

[E-Trac-Ohio]

Yes, maybe horse tack ?

Cool looking piece, but no idea what it is.
I would post it on the "What is it" forum for more exposure.

Today it looks more like a finger pull for something.

I have been around horses all my life, and it has a 'look' akin to a terret... but with an extra hole there ; so I may be miles off

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

My thought is it is a wall mounted decorative item used to pull up and lower curtains or blinds But I am no expert It is just a W.A.G.my part

[UnderMiner]

Curtain holder, and that small extra hole is for where the string to adjust the blinds goes through?

Could be off a sailboat for a rope guide . Someone will recognize it.
