got out to our first new fall site. Kyle and I went yesterday to check out our fields that are pressing on our colonial brains. We have been doing drive byes to all our sites that we must hit. So far no fields have been cut. After an hour of seeing nothing but standing crops Kyle said. " one more site before we give up. Good thing because the soybean was cut. We went to the door of a nearbye home and the guy said the name of the farmer who owned it. We knew him from last year. The same guy owned the field where I found my beautiful Farthing. After talking to the owner who said " No problem...You won't be hurting anything and good luck." We started swinging and after about 7 minuted out came the most beautiful KG III that I ever found. Nice and thick with very prominent features. Then a nice Dandy button with Christian Crosses all over it. Another KG III, and a slug. These 2 were around 6 inches under. After about 2 hours I found my last copper. It registered 0 vdi and was 10 inches deep. Was 48 vdi out of the hole. It turned out to be a William III. 1695 to 1701. My oldest coin. We are looking forward to more harvested fields to attack. Hope you enjoy this thread.
