Bee swarm on our patio.

Thanks, kimsdad, It was a nice swarm, somewhere between the size of a soft ball and a football.

Hi , DD777, They balled up because they were on a rest stop [on my patio] from traveling. Also the temp was 62. degrees and droping for the night , so a tight ball helps them stay warm. They also balled to protect the Queen Bee in the center.

Nice pic, it pays to protect the bees, they are becoming endangered I saw on the news.
A few years ago they had 'mites', & caused a large die-off.
