Howdy all! Ive traveled about 400 miles from my stomping grounds to do a little Air Force training, and that means Im in virgin territory. Its nice to walk into pristine banks, ask for halves, get the slightly incredulous look and question mark over the head, and convince them that, yes, I do want several hundred dollars in halves. Yes, halves. Anyway, theres 8 or so banks in this town and I have been to 2 of them. They were like night and day. Bank 1 sold me $250 and refused to sell me any more, come back next week maybe. Bank 2 sold me $400 of $800 and told me to come get the rest soon! The teller at Bank 2 asked me if I was a member, I said no, she checked with the vault teller (a nice older lady with a mischief-making grin) and was told with a nod and a wink that it was ok to "get the hell rid of them." Ill be heading back later this week to pick up the last $400. The results were excellent at Bank 1 and pleasant at Bank 2.

Bank 1 yielded 4 rolls of complete 40%ers and a roll of 40% with 2 clad. The 4 full rolls were marked "clad" and nearly falling apart. Beyond those 5 beautiful rolls were a few scattered 40%. Bank 2 produced my only 90%er and 3/4 of a roll of 40%. Its the most bank hunting I have done in several months, and also the most productive. Take care all!
