Been awhile since I've dug a "first"
Dug my first shield nickel today, at about 3" deep, in the front yard of an 1860's home now used as a bed and breakfast. I've dug a couple indians here in the past, but no silver, as I suspect it was pulled long ago.
I don't dig many buffalos either, as I'm usually cherry-picken silver signals. Today I decided to dig the low tones that were left and was pleasantly surprised!
HH all, ffd
