Trying to id this slide through belt buckle inscribed with '1941' in a diamond shape. Found in Panama City, Florida

Since it is embossed 1941, my first thought was a commemorative civilian WWII buckle, but the torch and scroll looks academic so I'm thinking it is more 'school' related. Welcome to the forum. Breezie

Yep i think it is also a academic buckle.. The below photo is of Florida State University notice how the banner flag is almost got the same style as yours but this one is got 3 torches.. You could try to research certain Universities in Florida and see if you can find one with the same symbol as yours!
