Beneficial rains!

We have been in drought conditions here in Kentucky for months now. We have had many inches of rain over the last week, so things are really perking up finally. I have a couple small vegetable gardens benefitting from it.

Happy for you! SC Low Country has been in the same drought. Cant count the number of days rain was forecast at 70% or above and we got no rain. Watched on radar as small storms came through above and below us. Hopefully that will change in the coming week.

Been dry here, as well, but raining today. Hard to believe that we actually
need rain here in the Pacific Northwest "rain forest", but we do. I fear a
very bad late summer and fire season if we don't get more water falling.

Florida has been in a major drought for months, (not unusual) and now heat. The weather people say it's ending this week but so far Zilch!

Wow, I guess the rest of the country's in the same boat we are. (No water to float the boat, haha) We've been gettin a little rain, but the big spring runoff has pretty much been a dud. Arkansas River rafters are promoting a 'scenic float trip', with 'technical crossings'. Technical crossings means you're probably gonna have to get out and carry the raft over rocks or along the bank for a ways.

We have not had rain in my part of Illinois for 3 weeks now, until last night. I could hear it raining hard and checked the gauge this morning to find it had rained 8/10ths of an inch. It was much needed.
