Would there be any benefit of removing the stock 5x8" coil on the AT Gold and adding a larger 8x11" coil that comes with the AT Pro? I had seen one like that recently at a pawn shop and was trying to understand why someone had done that. I have a 5x8 on my AT Pro already and still have the stock coil. Plus I'm about to buy an AT Gold and I was wondering if I would get any beneficial results by occasionally switching the two on the Gold. Thanks.

I did this and you get a little more depth and a little more ground coverage per swing. Very usefull when detecting large open fields or parking lots. Good luck with your new AT Gold! :icon_thumright:

Perfect answer!

As Cruiser said , you will get a little more depth and ground coverage. The 5X8 will separate out targets better in a trashy area.
