Bering Sea Gold Returns tonight Wed Feb 1

THANKS Jeff.... DVR set

For some reason I like this show. Maybe it's a little less drama and a little more gold?

yea it would be nice if they got rid of the Kelly's yet.
from that point, there would be no more manufactured comedy/drama and
more prospecting.

Woohoo! I know this show and Gold Rush are dramatic...but with the exception of some documentaries, most television shows are manufatured drama wether under the guise of reality tv or not. At least we get to see some techniques, practices, and most of all that buttery yellow metal we all love every now and then. Thanks for the heads-up, I'll have to set the dvr to record it as soon as i get home.

I could stand to see emily go

Yeah well I know enuff about AK and the bush...if you spend enuff time out there, just like closing time at the bar...they get prettier.

it's not her looks, it's the screaming, crying, nuttiness

Jeff -- thanks for the heads up -- tacos --beer -- gold -- my night is looking good.

I could stand to see emily go

My biggest problem with Emily when she Pretends she's singing opera.
Thankfully that ain't often.

that said. Wasn't too bad last night. Little bit of crying from the Kelly's,
which was no Surprise.

I wanna Search that Island.
That cave looked interesting :laughing7:

I am cold now... just at the thought of it. heh

Many moons ago I actually entertained the thought of packing up and moving to Nome for a season or 2.

I mined the beach sands south of Nome with a highbanker...maybe 1985 or so? At that time, there was only one dredger, and he let a couple of the guys I was with walk onto his 8" dredge at the marina and see his two-man operation. He had a long floating set of planks leading up to where it was anchored. (I couldn't walk on too because my additional weight would've made it take on water.) I think his success can be credited with creating the "rush" that led to everyone else heading offshore.

Finally got time to watch the latest episode. I liked it better than I have in some time and I think it's because the miners have to go back to prospecting. :icon_thumleft:

bcfromfl... We hit Cape Yakataga(sp) and worked the beach around the same time. NEVER in my life have I felt so vulnerable as when that ship took off and left us to mine--actually feed the bears hahaha... Cold cold cold, little gold and BEARS OMG :headbang: John

I must (grudgingly) admit Bearing Sea Gold is probably my favorite TV prospecting show .....have no idea why. One thing's for sure, the tweaker miners aren't just confined to the north fork of the San Gabriel River or Sierra Nevada foothills.

Gold Rush is OK but I've always thought they should rename it "The Punk vs Fat Man".
