Best Beach MD for under $700?

What would be the best and most user friendly MD that I can also use on beach and in ocean water? Whites surfmaster? I saw a gentleman with one clipped to belt and was a long beach on Cali very fast. Any advice?

there is a PI detector that you can discriminate out some iron,but it cost $2500.

Actually, I have found a lot more than "three times that much gold," with my Sand Shark LD. I just don't want to upset Treasure_Hunter any more than I have to. He already hates me.

Terry I don't know where you get that, I don't hate you, I don't diss Tesoro either, I just don't sing its praises as loud as you. I owned the Conquistador for about 2 years, just wasn't my cup of tea was all, but I never bad mouthed it.

I don't bad mouth the Sand Shark either and in fact I have recommended it to people looking for PI detector on this forum, it has lifetime warranty, I'm just not into digging holes for pieces of iron. The only thing I said about the Sand Shark is it isn't that deep for a PI. I have had hunting partners who had it and sold it.....
