Best book for beginning detectorists?

Anytime friend! That is about the most detailed site out there, that does not try to sell you their detector. It is very more detailed than most books that I have read.

Yeah thanks but what if someone isn't into the computer scene. A real down to earth kind a fellow. Doesn't have a lot of money and just wants to develope metal detecting skills. What would be a good book in your opinion. I heard of one called " the detecter" :dontknow:I think. But when I google it, way to many hits pop up!

I bought this book a few weeks ago and found it very helpful.
