Best Button Day Ever.

I gave the family homestead a break today and did some CW hunting. I had my best button day ever. Got my 1st 2 NY buttons , my 1st Artillery and a few others. The whole buck & ball set was a cool find as well. Also got my 1st firing caps.

Thank you sir. I ran out to Walmart and Lowes to try and get some Duro Aluminum Jelly so I could shine them up some more but no won knew what I was talking about.

Great buttons there JDug look like you in a hot spot!! you never know you may end up finding 57 buttons in one day, that is the most i ever dug out of a trash pit in one day back in early 2000's!! and there are trash pits out there where the soldiers would throw old uniforms in by the dozens.. good luck

It's funny you should mention that. I was actually looking for a trash pit in all metal mode. I was hoping for a deep iron signal and kept getting brass. Go figure

I'll do my best. The landowner said he thought the spot was hunted out. I put to test the theory , honesty is the best policy and emailed him a pick of all my finds and asked if I could come back tomorrow. We'll see in the morning.
