I've carried the same one since Basic back in 1980 keep it on my key ring

Old Army Surplus Store in Pharr Texas used to sell them from giant wooden kegs 10 cents each.

I agree the best opener, I've carried it since my days as an army warrior in the 60's.

I've had the P-38 and P-51 on my keychain since way back in high school, 11 or 12 years ago now I guess... it's come in handy many times, especially camping. For some reason, everyone ALWAYS forgets the can opener!! :D

HI, You haven't mentioned that it also serves as a screwdriver and spark plug gapper.

Same here...

A good knife works too.

I just bought a skate key - doesn't open cans worth a darn.

I carried one until it opened inside my pocket. After applying some doctoring stuff, I took the 38 off of my key ring and threw into a desk drawer. Figured the convenience of having it wasn't worth the disfigurement. :laughing7:

Dang - lost mine - they were good.
