Best day in a long time! Gold and silver.

[birdman]

I have been eyeballing this old house that's not to far from me .I talked to the neighbors on both sides and they told me they know the owners and they live out of state . They said go ahead an hunt it ,they care nothing about the place . I decided I would give it a try and could not believe the amount of finds I had in two and a half hours of hunting I found 4 Mercuries, two buffalo's,two "good for 5 cent in trade tokens",a thimble, two war nickles ,an 1891 Indian head and best of all my 2ND gold ring ever! When I dug the ring I thought it was gold plated because it looked like it was real dull. When I got home I washed it off and was very surprised to see the ring came to life and start looking like gold. I then looked at the inside of the ring and saw 14k. I am pretty stoked . As I was out hunting and on cloud nine I smelled something and noticed I stepped in a pile of dog crap but being that I was making some good digs it did not even bother me.LOL I also got excited when I found a pocket spill but alas ,it was from the early 70s. It was a grand short hunt and I can't wait to hit it again tomarrow . Thanks for looking and HH.

Outstanding finds! You have found yourself a little gold mine their with some great finds! Good luck, I am sure you'll be back.

Awesome finds. Nice IH, Merc's and especially the ring. It is always great to find GOLD. It must have been good luck stepping in that dog s**t. I think I will run out and step in some myself before my next hunt. LMAO!!
Hit the place again and HH. Roy

Those kind of hunts are made in heaven!

Ask (permission) and you shall receive (booty)!

The ring makes it perfect!

Congratulations!

Thanks all for the great comments !
NC Horn one says "B.W." and the other says "Henry Savelkoul".Both found this mourning in North Dakota. These were the first tokens I have found since I got here in February. Any Info would be great.

Thats one excellent huntin' spot birdman!
Keep it up....

[halfdime]

Great finds! Can't wait to see what else you find there. Also, I'm not sure which you meant, relative to the dog crap: "steeped" or "stepped" . One indicates a quick instant of contact and the other means you lingered!

[birdman]

LOL Yea Halfdime ,I will fix that steeped thing . I guess I need to proof read a little better.

Great finds!! Was curious though in your second photo, the item to the upper right of the gold ring, kinda looks like a monkey face.
