Best Detector for Civil War Relic Hunting

That’s the question of the day ! What’s the hottest detector going now for relic hunting? I have a Whites DFX that I e had for years and found a pile of relics with but wondering what the latest and greatest out there now?

It's going to depend on where you are. Sandy soils vs. Virginia red dirt or New Hampshire mineralized iron soil, it makes a difference. Different machines do better in different soils. My deepest machine ever was an ancient Tesoro Lobo with the big loop. I haven't had that one for years now.
