Guys I have been diving for over 2 years now, and hit the BEST jackpot I have ever seen last night at B&N! I literally found thousands of dollars worth of perfectly good merchandise!

I had to break videos down into multiple parts just to go through it all! Here is the first video, literally probably $1,000 worth of stuff in this video alone!

I don't see what the fuss is all about. I don't DD but I remember finding a nice early photograph that someone put on the side of the street. I did post it in Today's finds http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/today-s-finds/551737-mid-1800-s-photograph-notman-sandham-studio-my-non-detecting-find.html . I don't remember anyone telling me it didn't belong there.

How many times I read posts where people are excited to find 18th - 19th century dump sites...I know I am. And how many times you guys were judged by people for digging in the dirt for a copper coin or a button.... I know I was.

I agree with Scrappy, treasure is in the eye of the beholder. Let the guy do what he likes.

I like your point, we as colonial guys dig and sift in the 17th and 18th century equivalent of a dumpster - trash pits! Lol.

I peek in every dumpster that happens to be in close proximity, you can score pretty big if your in the right place at the right time. I work on many business sites that do total renovations" . . And the stuff they toss out at some construction sites is unbelievable. Last week i spent 3 hours with a sawzall cutting up scrap copper pipe and now I have a blue plastic barrel in the garage i cant even lift. Yesterday i scored this register drawer 6 section lock safe from a retail store being gutted, my brother grabbed the server rack they were gonna toss. . . here is the 6 section safe, it weighs about 250lbs and came with 2 sets of keys for each box and a master key..

I always thought of it as treasure hunting, its not much different then checking the tray at the coinstar.. . . its just a bigger tray.

I think its awesome

I did it in college when the frats and sorority's left at Christmas and end of school years, crazy what they threw away

I think you did great with all that you scored! Thanks for the post and pics. Good luck out there!
