Best metal detector out there??

I know everyone has there favorites, I have been out of the LOOP for a while. I would like to start again. When I was active in the hunt I used Whites, just looking for suggestions. Thank you in advance. Not sure it matters but I live in western pa.

the best detector is the one you can afford and will actually use.
These companies have solid detectors: Minelab, Garrett, Fisher, Nokta, and XP.
here's a simple sample link:

My best and deepest finds have been with Minelab, so that's what I'd recommend. Others think it's XP. Pretty much opinions. Ya know like the beer commercial - tastes great/less filling or some such. Good luck!

If possible, head to a local dealer with a brick and mortar shop. The dealers really are amazing and can help you find exactly what would suit you best.

Good idea.Online stores like Big Boy,s are helpful too but not like putting your hands on it before you buy.

Mxt all pro because I know it better than my xp and my nokta/makro and tesoros and other Whites machines.

The best all around detector is one you understand completely and can use it. One that good for one person might be terrible for another person
