To be honest the Hardin blade is my favorite piece. I dug it up two years ago and couldn't believe it. Stared at it every chance I could for about four months, lol. I had never even held one before. Its the only Hardin blade I pulled out of the site. I feel very lucky and fortunate to have found it. It looks almost as if it was made by a machine.
And they try and say that natives were savages, hold a truely wonderful piece in your hand that has an incredible amount of symmetry and try to tell me that they were savage. Many relics are a work of mathematical beauty!

That whole savage thing has always bothered me. It's cognitive dissidence, plain and simple. That axe head is sweet! Deepest groove I think I have ever seen on one.

What reason did they have to be savages? They had all the land and the elements to go along with it. I doubt they were savages at all. I believe the people that landed here were though. Took advantage of them I would think.

I agree, the Hardin is my favorite of those you have shown. By the way, don't you think the bottom one is also a Hardin? It just does'nt have the classic sharp notches.

Yes but I ment a Harden-Barbed. Growing up I always sought after the flared out ears on a piece. Around here, they are extremely sought after. Sorry

And the reason I put the two dart point tip pieces on there is because I found them both in the same dig spot about two years apart. If you look at the ears they are both offset. I always hoped that the same native made them both

Kansa54, were you referring to one of these points in the above post?

I was referring to the one on the right but they both look like Hardins to me. The dark one with swept barbs is amazing but the others are great finds as well.
