I think that one was made in Point Pleasant Ohio.

That's a really nice reed-stem redware pipe, but there are multiple possible makers. If there are no mould-marks on the heel (under the chin), you may find them at the bottom of the bowl on the inside. Sometimes you can more easily discern them by pressing a piece of Blu Tack or plasticine into the bowl to make an impression of the marks.

Great save and find on both the pipe bowl and the old bottle. Calabash, once agin', You Done Good.:icon_thumleft:

Beautiful example of that pipe bowl. I have seen that design excavated from civil war hut sites during DIV digs in Virginia.

It's generally referred to as "Turk's Head", but several companies used that design and variations on it. The mould marks (if present) are key to establishing maker and date.

I can not find a mark...came from a site that dated from the Rev War to the Civil War...

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Very nice pipe bowl and bottle Calabash. Great finds.

Awesome find. The condition is excellent.

Goes with your name. Not a calabash pipe, but it's still a pipe! A nice one too. Gary
