Detector(s) used
Tesoro Silver uMax
Primary Interest:
Relic Hunting
Has anyone here ever arrived at a detecting spot via bicycle?

I got on mine for the first time in 2 years last night, and found 3 or 4 likely spots that I never would have seen from a car. Next time I bike, I'll be packing my detector and tools. Somehow I feel much less conspicuous on a Schwinn Traveler III than I do in a Chevy Blazer.

Gives new meaning to the term "Sidewalk Hunting"

Neat when you are detecting, some fool will steal your bike unless you are seen with a firearm showing. In a lot of states you can carry in plane sight legally.

I used to hunt at night. Traveled on an old Honda CB 750 Super Sport painted all black with no lights......traveling by the light of the moon. Hunted old picnic groves and other assorted honey holes. Like a silver ninja.........Police scanner patched into the headphones........ Yep. a bike is easier to hide in the bushes than a monster truck :headbang:

And people think there are not pirates any more :laughing7:

I've been thinking of biking and dirt fishing just for the added exercise.

Here in Miami though, I don't like to have my headphones cover both ears because I don't want to have someone unknowingly walk up on me. You would have to lock the bike up for sure if you expected it to be there when you came back.

It helps to have eyes in the back of your head. I'm still saving up for that upgrade.
