Big a”” zipper and axel cover

Went with my co worker to 1890s site at work. This is a massive zipper and what appears to be an early axel cover. Will clean these up and repost if find anymore details

Cool. A zipper that size may have come from a large, heavy storage bag, parka or even a sleeping bag.
