Yep, she has several hundred feet of it underneath her. Cretaceous limestone.

I turned her upright today - now she is a statue in my garden. So in 100 years someone will say what the heck is that sticking up outta the ground. I'll mark it, "Here sits Big Bertha - she is one big hunka limestone with character".

She's now a respectable statue of sorts now and wants a name change :)

How about Miss Emily for Emily D. West, the Yellow Rose of Texas?

Ok after careful consideration perhaps nothing would want to carry Big Bertha around all their days - but maybe B. Birdie. That way she can remember her roots. LOL She adds more lovely character to my garden. She's home.:happysmiley:

Limestone was my thought also. Suzy it sounds like you do what I do. If there is somewhere to put a rock, then I do it. I think you should name her Glory. In the morn u could tell her morning Glory. & of course adorn her with such.
