I needed to take some items DEEP into Los Angeles for repair. Irwindale to be exact, About 130 miles from home. I needed to wait for the repair , so i had a couple of hours to kill. I knew i was going to be waiting , so i had taken my detector.
I found a local park on Google maps, and went at it. I wasn't expecting much, there's 13 million people in the LA metropolitan area. Gotta be a couple of detectorist there ! I figured if i found a buck that would be pretty good.
2 1/2 hours later,was I surprised. $6.27 in clad !
One token , a fishing sinker (i fish,so for me that's a score) and the trash.
The clad was mostly quarters ! About 5/6 inches of dirt under very thick grass. Not super deep.
Not bad for a little park in a BIG city.
