found this little and large today on ploughed land, only was out of a hour. as the heavens open and got soak :(

Brilliant! l am still waiting to find a forward facing groat or half groat. l have found many Hammered coins but that type has eluded me. even after over 30 years. well done. you should be able to id ok. John.

Well, if that's what you can recover in an hour, you may want to stay out for 10 -- rain or shine!
The groat looks to be in splendid condition. What date/reign?

Thanks for replys =) had a look in the Spinks book its a Henry 7th groat =)
