Nice find, and I agree it doesn't look like it has been in the creek very long. Not sure of type or age, but the flaking does appear to me that it could be early/Paleo ?

Well it could be broken but at the same time if it was a hand held tool it might not be broken. Some of the older ones werent completed on both ends they left the one unfinished end to hold onto and sometimes left a graver tip on them it there is a pointy end. So its hard to say if its broken or left like that on purpose. I found some recently in the same field they were all the same length but none were completed on 1 end and the other ends were worked to a sharp edge. I like it just the way it is.

That's interesting Rock. I've never heard that. Tkaz I hope I'm not hijacking your thread here, but Rock do you think that's what's going on with these three pieces? They were all found within 100 feet of each other in southern Missouri.

I dont really know you but you seem to make argumentative comments when you do come around. Is there something you would like to talk about to make you feel better? Bad day at work or something like that? I see you are a long time member so I would think maybe there is a reason for it. To leave a single word comment like this really doesnt make sense. Maybe you might want to leave more that a single word and explain yourself as to what it means.
