Detector(s) used
Treasure Ace250 Tesoro Cibola
I went back to the old homestead today. I dig some more clearing, went to the truck and got the detector. I had pulled a small tree up on the side of the property. It rained alot late this week and the ground was soft. Within seconds my headphones almost got knocked off. In the plug, no more than four inches deep was this:

1923 Peace Dollar!!!!!

I bet all of Stephens City wondered what that noise was. I jumped, screamed and almost passed out. She's a beauty, isn't she??

Thanks for looking and thanks for all I've learned on this site.

I got really tired after that and had to quit. Probably result of the bite I got last weekend.

There has been some awesome finds lately around here. That sure does rank up there with them. Looks like 1928 with a mintmark. Either way still an awesome find.

She is a beautiful find and in nice condition! Didnt it feel great to see that glimpse of silver in the hole! Looks like you better hit that sight again.
Hope you are feeling better.

Silver is nice
Makes all the pull tabs and junk not even matter

Maybe my eyes aren't what they used to be, but it looks like 1928 to me?

Anyways....EXCELLENT FIND, CONGRATULATIONS!

Beautiful, just beautiful!! Can't wait for the day I find one of those-everytime my machine reads $1.00 coin potential-it ends up being a hunk of tin or junk buried about 12 inches deep! Oh well, hasn't stopped me from getting excited yet!

Thanks for all the nice responses. It was a thrill, for sure.

I've had several people ask if it's a 23 or 28. It is definitely a 1923. About $400.00 difference in value, not in my favor. :D
