Can any one date this peice?
Came out of the wooded area of a 1850 school lot. Before the school the lot was a farm. Any chance it dates back that far?
Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Looks symmetrical on the two sides. A plow tip would be unsymmetrical with a flat side (the land side) and one slightly curved (the furrow side). But it still appears to be the tip of a cultivating implement of some kind.

Hi Almy,
Yes both sides are identical. Looks like it can be installed either way. The pine tree grove I found it in were planted in the 50s or 60s. It looked to perfectly made to me. "Machine made" But the 1850 school house lot sits right infront of the pine grove and spills into it as far as relics go.
So I had to ask.
Thanks for the info.
