I slipped out after work last nice, to little spot where a house once stood. The place has a lot of trash and iron, but a few coins have showed up.

I have to give a shout out to Smittyman for hooking me up on the spot. He is a scholar and gentlemen on magnanimous proportions!

I staggered around in the heat and humidity for a little while, got a few modern coins, and some other assorted trash. Then out of nowhere, a nice high tone on the Deus. I dig a little hole, look in, and I can see a silver dime in the side of the hole. 1944 Merc.

Elated at having found something shiny, I felt a rush of enthusiasm, and continued on. As I proceeded up the driveway, I got a deep high tone... the Deus was saying that it was bigger than a silver quarter, however, the Deus lies from time to time. I dug a nice big hole, looked inside... nothing... stuck the pinpointer in...bingo... I dug a little more and I see a BIG silver rim... it's just bound to be a half dollar, I grab it, the reverse is showing, I see the eagle... and I think that it is a Barber half... flip it over... and it's got Kennedy on it... WHAT? Now the bell goes off, it's a 40% Ken.

That's my first silver Ken, and 10th silver half, in 2.5 years. I was a very happy camper.
YTD silver coins: 30

Thanks for looking and best of luck on your hunts!

Great job buddy! I've heard many tell of the great and kind man that they call Smittyman. I'd love to shake your hands someday. Nice silvers my friend
