Hello again!!!
Well i started the day out where i found the gold coin yesterday...I hunter there for around a hour and only managed a 1881 Indian but it is not in bad condition. In the pic you will also see the finds from yesterday that i found with the gold coin and cross. My friend who has only had a detector for 2 days also found a 1884 IH and a nice button...He will be posting pics soon. After lunch we met with a lady who recently contacted me and wanted to pay me to hunt her 1809 tavern. I know weird right....Well i gladly accepted with the agreement i split the finds with her. So off we went.....I poked around for a bit with little success...There is a ton of trash in the ground there...I had managed a dozen or so wheats when i happened across a lead cowboy playing a guitar...Not sure the age but when i get those pics tonight i will post them....Next i found a old buckle...Not sure the age on this one either....My next find was rather cool... I hit a signal that sounded good but with hints of iron in it...Well being as i am trying out this troy shadow i decided to dig it...I pulled out a monster square nail...But for giggles decided to hit the hole again...I was nailed with a solid signal.....I dug another 3 inches (now a total of 9) and out pops a coin!!! It is the size of a half dollar and has a giant swastika on it...However i think it is backwards...It had a 4 leaf clover a wishbone and a few other things on it also. I will have pics later for you to see. As we were heading to the car i got one last signal....And i quickly hit the ground digging away...and was pleasantly surprised to see the color silver in the hole.....BIG silver.... A nice 1945 walking liberty half!!! Just at this time it started to rain and we had to cut the day short....Well i can not complain for a 2 day total....I guess i was lucky this time....I am sure ill skunk for a month or so now...HEHE... O well it was well worth it!!! Thanks for reading HH

Thanks guys... I have to say...I love this Shadow X2!!!

wow thats a fantastic day those are beautifull ;)

Never heard of the Shadow, but from your recent finds I think we will be hearing more about the Shadow! Those coins are GREAT! Congrats.

Nice; gotta love big silver! And you gotta love when they ask you to hunt their place!

My buddy almost found this one however he noticed some dog poopoo on this section of lawn so he decided to relocate.. I would have loved to see him find it he has only had a detector 2 days.....He found his first 1800's coin today!!! His first coins ever were a 192- wheat and a beautiful 1935 Buff in the same hole. They were his first signal ever dug....Needless to say it only took him a few days to pony up and become a fellow T-hunter!!!

Very nice, outraged!!! Love that Big Silver!!! Hey, you didn't talk about the amazingly difficult to find coin to the right of the Walker. Is that a shielded Nickel?? Wow, congrats!!!

Hello everyone!

I was a little slow to email these pics to Outraged, so I guess I'll just post 'em.

Here are the pics of my very first finds!

The 1935 Buffalo and the 1930 ;) Wheatie Outraged refered to...

They were found in the same hole, with a borrowed Prism II. OR said that it's unusual to find a nickel with a clear date! Now I have to fingure out how to clean 'em... :-\

Next are the items I recovered today at the location OR dug the gold cross & coin.

The button... any ideas as to origin/history, guys?

Here's my very first 1800's coin!

Finally, the items I recovered at the 1809 tavern.

A harmonica and a square nail ::) (also pictured; a knife blade & bullet cap found at the site listed earlier), no big silver for me :(

Yes the sheild nickel is nice... i found a much nicer one a month ago and after finding that one i guess i was a bit blaa
about it...However you can not find enough coins from the 1800s so i am thrilled...Plus the gold coin kind of made me a lil shell shock... I had almost forgot i found that...hehe

I like the swastika token... the word swasti in sanskrit translates to "good luck" or "happiness" and looks like your having both of those with that spot!
