My wife found what appears to be a big silver ring. Inside the ring is a capital L one OIN stamped in just behind it. Do any of you guys know what the letters stand for?

Sorry. It has a capital L and the letters OIN stamped on the inside. What does OIN stand for?

pic is somewhat blurry so I can't make out the mark very well. The 'OIN' could possibly be from a 'COIN' mark as in coin silver (90%). If it's very large as in almost too big to be a finger ring, it could be a napkin ring
