Big Wave's Vacation... Enjoy the ride!

My wife and I are leaving Sat am, for a great adventure! The next two weeks are going to be a wonderful break from our daily routines. This road trip is in celebration of our ten year anniversary. I will try my best to update our trip nightly, with pics and stories from the road. I am bringing my trusty AT Pro, never leave home without it!

Where are we going? Stay tuned!

OOOOOOOOh no! is she stalking me again?

Have a great trip and keep us posted. Looking forward to it...

Hadn't heard from you since you went off to some island that I wasn't familiar with. I thought maybe the natives ate you or thought you were a god and made you their leader. Glad you are back. Find anything, I mean besides half priced beer and two hookers for a dollar coupons?

Happy 10 !! .......and she allows you to detect on this trip too, what a gal.

If you posted your itennary you might have some tnettters in those areas to hunt with. Happy 10th:occasion14:

a pocket full of clad, a ring( brass I think and an earring - no markings)

We left Ft. Myers, Fl at 7 am. 11 hours later, we are here at a Campground in Chattanooga TN. Traffic in Atlanta wasnt too bad, lost maybe an hour with pit stops and traffic. 700 miles down, probably another 750 planned for tomorrow. I did break out the AT Pro, but only dug one target. An old tent stake!:laughing7:There are coins and pull tabs and trash that you would expect at a campsite, but I am tired. :sleepy2:

Our tent is in pretty good shape, kinda small now though, thanks to my hairbrained idea of getting a double sized cot. Only bummer thing about the cot? It has a long bar going down the middle for support... I bet that will hurt her back!:love3:

Thanks for checking in, will post again soon, destination unknown.

I love camping...but I gave up the tent years ago. But it has actually gotten a heck of a lot more complicated to plan a trip. go figure, simpler was probably better just not as comfy.

So last nite, we go for a walk, I find this old field, which at one point was used as a frisbee golf course.:BangHead:
Can only imagine the number of rings that flew off people's hands. Next time.

You just gave me an idea about the Frisbee Golf. I know just the spot.:icon_thumleft:

PS, congratulations on the ten years----------------------Sweetie and I celebrated 54 years last Feb.

We hope that you come back more richer then when you left.

Happy 10th Dave and Mrs Dave! Hope you have a great/safe trip. See you Thanksgiving week on FMB. Gonna give the CTX a good workout...

Congratulations on your 10th anniversary! If your woman is content with sharing a tent.... And, a metal cot support with you? After 10 years? You must be doing something right? God bless you both my friend.

750 or so miles later, we have found ourselves at a campground outside of Madison, WI. Half of the day on back roads of central Illinois, thanks to a meltdown by my GPS. Once we got set up, went to town for dinner. I highly recommend the loaded curly fries from Arby's.:laughing7: I bought Dianne a $3 scratch ticket, $50 winner!:headbang:
Another long push tomorrow, where to next? Stay tuned...

By the way, this is our humble home....

Happy anniversary to you and the missus and safe traveling mercies!
