I dont have a clue on this, it was dug off a homstead ranging from mid 1800's to early 1900's.
Its cast and appears to be two pieces Thats a 7 stamped on the end.

Hmmmm. Starting to look more like a muffler or spark arrestor now that we see no moving parts.

Really big siphon break fitting?
