"Black Friday" turned out to be silver Friday for me

No bargain shopping for me today ....hate those crowds

Headed off to a near-by beach even though it was high tide with not much sandy area to hunt

Hunted dry sand up near the dunes of the area.

Found a "merc", a 'wheatie", an antique ( I think it is) ring with small turquoise stone , clads, , 2 sinkers, 2 lures, and some kind of eagle pendant....looks like maybe Peruvian artwork ; not sure of metallic content at this time.

Great finds Lorraine! I Love the Navajo Roadrunner pendent!

I found this pic of a Thunder bird pendant...resembles the one I found ( without the stone) ;

I think there were tail feathers on the pendant that I found, but that part fell off.

Great finds Lorraine. I think you're right about the ring... looks antique to me. Didn't the manufacturers stop stamping "sterling" years ago?

That was my understanding, Bobbypins; I had read that somewhere sometime ago, but I've also read that both designations are still in use.

Great ring. I found its match some years ago on a beach on LI,NY.
I seem to remember a picture of it in an old Sears catalog but can't be sure.

Tiggar, I soak the item in Tarn-X...and then gently scrub it with baking soda/warm water.

If item is severely crusted , I precede the above with electrolysis.

Finally I shine the item with Jeweler's Rouge and chamois cloth.

YEAH - I HIT THE BEACH TOO INSTEAD OF SHOPPING. JUST A BUNCH OF CLAD AND SINKERS, BUT DID NOT HAVE TO DEAL WITH CROWDS.
