black metallic with bubbles on it, meteorite or fossil?

Was walking along a portion of the little missouri river in North Dakota. Not sure what it is. also found petrified pieces of wood Thank you in advance.

Might be an iron ore called hematite , just not sure - is it overly heavy ? does it cause a reaction from your metal detector ?

It does feel heavy but does not effect the detector.
