Do you think the bladelets were all struck off at the lithic source and then carried, were the cores carried and a bladelet struck off when needed, or a little of both?

well...in this area all you had to do was send junior out to get you a rock and he would come back in a few minutes with what you needed...good stone all over the place even today. Add to that that these folks were year round residents in permanent villages. So I assume here at least, core stones were just left to lay and used as needed.
 

Does that place you in Tomales Bay Area or more northerly like OR or WA? Sorry to pry, I'm just south of SF Bay Area. I love learning about our zone!
