Blast from the past, silver ring finds from the 90's
Here are some of the rings I found when I was detecting full swing in the 90's. This summer I have started detecting again to help with a disability. There are about 40 rings here, but I did find over 70. I averaged about 1 ring for every 300 coins found. I sold some of the real cool ones and of course my daughter and her friends claimed several.
The torqoise ring with the arrows was lost by my mother in 1950 when she was 10 years old. I recovered it 5 inches down in my grandparents front lawn. That makes it my favorite ring, what an awesome moment it was to find it after 45 years in the ground!
The CTR rings have to do with the dominant religion here in Utah, commonly known as Mormons. CTR stands for "Choose the right". The two that are in a different language reflect the worldwide presence of the religion, and the missionary work in different countries.
The Agate ring is from the 40's and is 10k plated on the sides over sterling silver. I love the natural scene it has of a sunset over the mountains.
