Blue Heron Rookery

Bet this is the only the only picture of a Heron Rookery on this site. I took this while scouting out some deer and duck hunting area for this fall. The Rookery "nesting site" was about 1/4 mile back in the timber from a large marsh and the ground under was painted white from droppings. The were about 10 or so juvenile blue herons like the 2 in the picture. Just seeing Herons in tree tops here is rare and I've been here in Idaho most of my life and thought they nested in the marsh.
