Hey Stephan,,
Possibly the OP just saw this right after Googling for "storage unit auctions" or "storage unit finds" after reading through Carrol's thread on storage auction locker finds.
http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/storage-locker-finds/473667-storage-locker-auction-finds.html

I saw a Post Yesterday, maybe that one.
& the first thing that Popped in my Head.
Storage Lockers would be good places to hide Bodies :tongue3:
(I think of allot of Strange things on occasion.
good thing thinking ain't illegal. of course if it was,
Rob Zombie would never make world class movies
like the Devils Rejects etc.:tongue3:)

Then I thought to myself was it a News Story or Movie Scene
where I seem to remember this happening ?
I was going to post & ask but didn't.

Cool Rogerv must have heard me Thinking, Or I heard him thinking
about responding to this Thread today :laughing7:

it would make for an interesting storage auction show,
if they opened a bowling ball box and there was a head in it. :laughing7:

There is a list of illegal items that dont belong in storage lockers. Pretty sure this is one of them. How he got away ith the stink is amazing.

Your right I did remember this story after reading Carrol's thread. There was a guy where I live that had a business called Forever Yard sales that rented a warehouse and bought a couple of trucks and unloaded lockers for a living not sure if he is still open or not.

Let's see . . . a 1992 story in Spokane newspaper prompts a TV producer to make a reality
show of people bidding on storage lockers . . . maybe in hopes of similar discovery by one
of the permanent stooges . . . HEADLINES!

I know of another instance of that happening here in Maine in the last 5 or 6 yrs. An old guy died, I think he was about 80, his family cleaned out his storage locker, I believe it was his daughter, who found the body of a woman who had gone missing about 25 or 26 years previously in a freezer in the locker. A horrible way to find out "dad" was a murderer. I picked for a guy who knew the old man, he said he had no idea the guy could ever do such a thing. Maybe one of the other members here in Maine can recall this and find link to attache or maybe I could google it. But, it does happen. Makes you wonder how many bodies are being hid in storage lockers.

T.

Here you go:

Body found in Lewiston storage unit believed to be that of Kitty Wardwell ? State ? Bangor Daily News ? BDN Maine

Happened in my town years before we started doing units. There was a kids body or two iirc in a 50 gal. plastic barrel. Sad. I cannot imagine the scarring that would occur to open up such a thing. We learned real quick not to let our kids go thru the boxes anymore. We were so naive. Glad nothing bad ever happened. Now we work like it's a crime scene. Puncture proof gloves and only grab what you can see.
