I eyeballed this thing today while metal detecting. I didn't think anything of it at first, but when I showed it to my hunting buddy he said it was a bolo stone. From what my other hunting buddy told me this may be a rare find.

Nice! Now I have to look up what a bola stone is...

What distinguishes them as bola stones? I’m not familiar. Congrats on the find!
I am amazed at how much I have learned from this site and what people find and post. Congratulations on such a neat and, I assume, rare find, @fyrffytr1 .

I also had to look it up, and now I understand why you posted a pic of it on the scales. For anyone interested, here's a link: https://peachstatearchaeologicalsociety.org/index.php/9-hardstone/132-bolo-stone
