I have been about two weeks into the hobby. These are the books I picked up at the used book store. Are there any books specific to Western PA or are there any must read suggestions.

1)Paleo-Indian Artifacts, by Lar Hothem
2)The Official Overstreet Price Guide Indian Arrowheads, by Robert M. Overstreet and Howard Peake
3)Antique Trader Indian Arrowheads Price Guide, by Jason Hanna
4)The First Americans In Pursuit of Archaeology's Greatest Mystery, by J.M. Adovasio with Jake Page
5)Sacred Places, by James A. Swan
6)Native American Stories, Told By Joseph Bruchac
7)American Indian Myths and Legends, selected and edited by Richard Erdoes and Alfonso Ortiz
8)Ancient Americans Rewriting the History of the New World, by Charles C. Mann

Rich,
Let me register my vote for: Arrowheads & Stone Artifacts: A Practical Guide for the Amateur Archaeologist by C. G. Yeager. It is an excellent book for beginners. While most of the actual geography referred to is in the southern Great Plains, it contains material about a large variety of artifacts, materials, identification tips, legal advise, etc. It is easy to read and is very frequently referred to as a "must" among novice enthusiasts. It was my first book about lithics, and still remains my favorite. It is less than $20.00 new, and can be found virtually anywhere (including ebay, Amazon, etc.).
Give it a look.

With you being in Pennsylvania, I'd recommend you start with Gary Fogelman's books on Penna. Lithics and point types. Any number of books are good ones, but you'll eventually wear these two out from consulting them.
